My Story
Since 1967, Kidney Wales has been making a real difference to the lives of kidney patients and their families. As one of the longest-standing kidney charities in Wales, our mission is simple: to improve the lives of everyone affected by kidney disease.
Kidney disease affects over 93,000 people in Wales. There is no cure – only forms of treatment such as dialysis and transplantation. While these treatments are life-saving, they can also be life-changing.
Kidney Wales receives no government funding. We rely entirely on the generosity of supporters to continue providing vital services to the kidney community across Wales.
Your support helps us to provide:
Patient support – vital information and guidance from our Patient Information and Support Manager
Financial assistance – emergency grants, food vouchers, emergency aid and carers’ wellbeing vouchers
Awareness and education – helping people understand kidney disease and its impact
Well-being support – working with partners to support both physical and mental well-being
Research funding – supporting research that benefits kidney patients in Wales
Every donation, no matter the size, helps provide essential support to patients and families living with kidney disease in Wales.
Thank you / Diolch
